Marino Pool & Spa is an in-house design and construction company established in 1988.
The Company builds custom swimming pools, spas, decks, masonry walls, patios, fountains,
entry and driveways in both residential and commercial areas. The company specializes in Hillside areas requiring complex engineering and grade beam/friction pile designs.
It's owner, Chuck Marino, started working in pool construction just after graduating
high school. After getting his Bachelor's degree from the University of California at Santa
Barbara, Chuck went to work for several architects and builders; drawing house plans and
managing construction sites. Swimming pools were always his favorite part of the projects and after working for a large swimming pool company, he decided to put his talents to use with his own company, giving personalized service to his clients.
Unlike most swimming pool construction companies today, Marino does not sub-contract all its work. It has it's own in-house construction crew and equipment, giving the company total control over quality and ensuring that the projects get done on time. That is why referrals have been the only form of marketing since its start.
Since Chuck Marino speaks fluent Spanish, communication with the construction workers he supervises runs smoothly, he even writes many job specs and instructions in Spanish.
Chuck Marino has designed and built over 400 custom swimming pools to date, including the competition pools at Agoura High School, Gold's Gym and award winning pools in Hollywood Hills and Beverly Hills by the National Pool and Spa Institute. He even traveled to Korea to build a 3,600 square foot pool at the Kun-Young complex in Seoul. In 2003 he worked with the California State Contractors Board to help update new building codes and write the swimming pool license exam.
Chuck Marino continues to design and build spectacular outdoor environments for homeowners as one of the most knowledgeable and experienced contractors in the swimming pool construction industry.
